Job Description

Our client accountants assist a variety of clients with their full charge bookkeeping needs including, but not limited to: financial statement preparation; journal entries and adjustments; payroll tax filing; sales tax filings; bank reconciliations and 1099 preparation.

Individuals whose only experience is with A/P and/or A/R should not apply for this position. You must be able to handle a variety of full charge bookkeeping tasks with little assistance. Good opportunity for someone who likes to deal with clients one on one.

Some daytime travel to local client offices in the Seattle area may be required.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years’ experience working as a full charge bookkeeper, client accountant (at a public accounting firm) or para-professional.
  • Solid knowledge of Quick Books online and desktop; Outlook and Excel.
  • Familiarity with cloud based solutions such as Bill.com and Expensify is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
  • Ability to learn new computer programs with relative ease.
  • Prior experience in public accounting is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree, accounting certification and/or bookkeeping/QuickBooks certification is preferred.

Additional Information

The individual considered for this position must be able to pass our bookkeeping test as part of the interview process as well as a criminal background check.

Saturday hours are generally required during our busy season, which starts in January and lasts through April 15th, although typically tapering off at the end of March. Other times of extraordinary work load may also be possible.

Strong interpersonal, analytical and computer skills are required. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to clients is essential.

Daytime travel to local candidates may be required on occasion.

Work from home technology is available for occasional work from home days. More formal alternative work arrangements and remote working opportunities may be possible after six months based on performance and ability to adhere to other alternative workplace policy requirements.
