Timber Tax is looking for a proactive, solution-oriented, highly motivated team player who possesses excellent communication skills and has the ability to see the big picture. We are looking to add a rockstar to our top-notch team.

Responsibilities 

  • Prepare or assist in preparing tax returns for individuals or small businesses including clear workpaper documentation
  • Collect, research, and review complex and diverse financial records
  • Review client information to gain complete knowledge of the client’s financial situation
  • Our clients are primarily small business owners based in varying states and industries.
  • Broadscale knowledge and experience are helpful
  • Strong adherence to confidentiality practices

Qualifications

  • 0-4 years of Accounting experience
  • BS Accounting or Finance
  • Enrolled Agent or CPA, (Preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of tax experience in preparing personal and business returns, mostly s-corp and sole prop
  • Proficient in Lacerte Tax software, (Preferred)
  • Proficient in software such as Microsoft Excel, Google Suite
  • Excellent at virtual communication, using cloud-based software such as Slack, remote desktops, Zoom, G Suite and commitment to staying on top of the technology. Strong and reliable internet connection is a must
  • Proactive communication and willingness to help with tasks to make the team successful
  • A proclivity to get things done and move forward
  • Enjoy focused and detail-oriented work
  • Knowledge of working remotely, using cloud-based software such as Slack, remote desktops, zoom or hangouts (preferred)
  • Dropbox and Hubspot competence preferred
  • Solution-oriented with a strong ability to think critically
  • Proactive communication and willingness to help with tasks to make the team successful
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multitask

Compensation: $15 to $25/hr DOE
